After flying all night the Hero Israel Group went to Haas

Wed. January 17....Arielle Hirschfield plays cello for a group a kids with
"special needs" at Beit Shalva, Peace of Mind - to the mentally & physically
challenged child and family in Israel.
Wedenesday Morning the Hero Israel Group met an extraordinary Mitzvah Hero,
Tova Cohen, who every wednesday prepares a hot meal, for people in her
neighborhood. Here we sample her heartwarming delicous soup,...
Group waits outside DENTAL VOLUNTEERS for ISRAEL Clinic - the only free
clinic of its kind in Israel looking after the needs of poor children aged 5-
18.
Karen Rose talks with Trudi Birger, Holocaust Survivor, who has made the
Dental Volunteer clinic her life's goal. We're in a comfortable room manned
by four volunteer dentists and modern equipment.
Danny and Naomi keep us running from morning till night. Here we are
strategizing about tomorrow, Friday's activities, looking forward to resting
this Shabbat.
Thankful to be enjoying Sunset in Jerusalem....A time to look and
contemplate!
Giving a Wedding dress to Rabbanit Kapach, a wonderful "one woman social service agency". In addition to providing food she maintains a clothing warehouse available to anyone in need.
Susan & Buzz sorting some of the clothing brought by CBI group to Rabbanit Kapach...We arrived with many duffle bags filled with clothing for children, men, and women.
Sunday Morning we went to the Frankforter Senior Center to heara concert with Arielle and a Russian string quartet.

of Bayit Cham ( a house of warmth) They work with people recovering from serious mental distress.
At the Frankforter Senior Center, Arielle Hirschfeld played to a delighted
mixed group of Israeli and Russian Seniors who were very appreciative for the
musical interlude in their lives.
We traverse an area in B'nai Brach going
from one industrial site to another to see some of the places of employment for the mainstreamed members of Bayit Cham.

Cham have finished their work with dignity and a sense of accomplishment.
We visited a catering hall where 10 members
of Bayit Cham work everyday setting the tables and preparing for huge weddings and Bar Mitzvahs in B'nei Brach....Karen tries out a throne that she'd like to use for Board meetings at the Synagogue.
We stop for lunch in Tel Aviv in an extraordinary restaurant called Lilit. Amber, a social worker explains that this restaurant employs disadvantaged and troubled youth. Teaches them a trade, fine cooking. The Meal was truly outstanding and it aided a wonderful cause...A must see when in Tel Aviv.
On Monday, while at Morning services at Western Wall, I saw Perched in the nooks and crannies above all of us in prayer, a single white dove. I thought it was an appropriate symbol of our trip to Israel...Buzz Warren
