This is a view of our gas mask production line. We worked approximately 6 hours each day, retrofitting around 2,000 masks during our stay at Camp Julis.

This is another view of our production work. Volunteers were from England, Holland, South Africa, Australia, and many other nations.

The CBI volunteers met a wonderful Ethiopian soldier, named Bruchim (Blessing).

Each morning, at flag-raising, Noa, our top midrasha, delivered orders of the day to our group. We also heard a rendition of current events and other announcements.

Richard Wasserman, Jonathan Caplan, Josh Schor and Art Fredman climbed the snake path at Masada, at dark, to reach the top by sunrise. Here, they take a rest prior to exploring the ruins at the top.

Typical scene at the Gas Mask Project, at Camp Julis. The masks are refurbished at production tables while Jon Caplan (standing) boxes them for shipment throughout Israel.

Richard Wasserman worked with tank brake drums, hammering out from the rim defective bolts. He also applied a coat of rust-resistant paint to the exterior of the drums.

Richard took this shot of Art on a tank. This is one of the required shots when one works at an military base serving the armored IDF forces.
