PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR 2007 -2008

Wings of Witness:  On Sunday, May 11, Jeffrey Schrier will bring his Wings of Witness project to CBI.  For over the last 10 years, Mr. Schrier has been creating a larger than life tribute to those who lost their lives in the Holocaust based on soda tabs collected by a school in Mahomet Illinois.  During the course of the presentation on the 11th, our students will add to the sculpture and learn more about the project that has involved approximately 45,000 participants from 23 states and Canada.

We are the only synagogue in the area to have this program and I urge adults to join us on the 11th – Donations to help offset the cost of the program is gratefully appreciated.

Its Baseball season – and many students are leaving school early – please be aware of our procedures – thank you for your cooperation:

EARLY DISMISSAL

As early dismissals are disruptive to the teacher and the class, it is assumed that they will occur only for extenuating circumstances or emergencies.

It is school policy that there are no early dismissals permitted after the last 15 minutes of the school day.  This is done to provide a smooth and timely dismissal for the entire school.  If you need to pick your child up early, please do so before the last 15 minutes of the day.

In the event that a student must leave school early, please send a note to the school office.  The note must specifically note the adult who will be picking up the student.  It is school policy that any student dismissed earlier than the end of a session must be picked up at the school office by an approved adult.  The adult must sign the student out in the school office.

A student leaving school early is expected to make up all work that he/she will miss.

As the year winds down, the arms of our synagogue are amazingly busy – please see all notices below.
