Why join Sisterhood?
Participating in Sisterhood is a warm and wonderful way to meet new people and form lasting friendships with other women who share your sense of commitment to our Jewish community.
Sisterhood is dedicated to the continuing education of our members, and we strive to reach all generations and to satisfy myriad interests and needs. Your daughters (ages 14-21) are particularly encouraged to become Associate members. Sisterhood can enrich not only your Jewish identity but also that of your family.
Sisterhood invites you to join us for our many programs scheduled throughout the year, including concerts, educational programs, social action opportunities, and much more. We offer many venues to help you develop your intellectual, spiritual, and charitable abilities.
We are associated with Women's League and support the Jewish Theological Seminary through Torah Fund. Becoming involved in Sisterhood means becoming involved in both your local Jewish community as well as many regional and national ones.
Here's a sample of what Sisterhood does:
- Offers a variety of educational and social programs
- Makes Judaica and related giftware available through our gift shop
- Coordinates the Caring Committee with the Men's Club
- Assists families of B'nai Mitzvah with organizing their simcha
- Presents gifts to our Nursery and Religious School graduation and B'nai Mitzvah
- Sponsors Onegs on Friday evenings
- Provides beautiful flowers for the Bima
- Sponsors many kiddushim for Shabbat morning and holidays
